Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking

Orchards

Orchards - Holly Thompson Orchards is about when Kana Goldberg is sent to visit her relatives in Japan after a girl in her middle school commits suicide. Once she gets there she keeps thinking of Ruth (That classmate) and wonders if she was partially to blame for driving Ruth to commit suicide. The book goes over the course of the summer dealing with the grief of someone dying to learning to live again. And that it's ok to go a day without thinking of them. I also loved in this book how it really showed how your actions can effect other people even if at the moment you honestly thought they were harmless.Overall really liked it (and not just because it was written in free verse which I love)
